     Unknowing mistakes happen when you are driving a two wheeler or a four wheeler. Sudden breaking of signal, not using helmet, over speeding, parking in no parking. Due to many such reasons you are fined by the Maharashtra Traffic Police. As the process is now online, the fine you incur is linked to your vehicle number without your knowledge and an SMS message is sent to your phone number by the Maharashtra Traffic Police.

    By seeing the message, we understand that something has gone wrong. Sometimes fines can be imposed even when there is no fault. How do you complain online in this situation? How to pay this fine online if there is really a mistake? We will understand this now.

     First of all let us understand step by step how to pay vehicle fine online. 

For that you have to visit Maharashtra Traffic Police website. Website Link – mahatrafficechallan.gov.in

 On coming to the website you will see the E-Challan Payment Maharashtra State screen. First on the screen you will see two options Vehicle No. and Challan No. You have to select the vehicle number option. After selecting the option you have to write the vehicle number. After writing the vehicle number, you need to type the last four digits of the chassis/engine no. Then you have to solve the camp code I'm not robot, then you have to click on submit button.

Now a new page will open in front of you. On that page you will see a list of how many e-challans have been torn on your vehicle so far. By scrolling a little to the right on the list, you can see how much each currency has been fined. You can understand the reason for the penalty.

If the Payment Status column shows Paid, then you have paid the fine and if the Payment Status is Unpaid, then you have to pay the fine now. The second column is of View. Below that is an eye symbol. By clicking on the icon, you can see the detailed information of that currency.

After clicking on the area, a photo of the invoice is attached to your vehicle. Is this photo yours? Want to check once.

     If this photo is not yours, you can report it. You will find the link of this complaint on it. That is, where there is an option of Grievance, you can file a complaint.

If the information is correct, now let's see how to pay the currency penalty.

     Go to the currency list page, tick the currency in which you want to pay the penalty and click the Select echallans & Click here to pay button at the top.

Now read the Payment Terms and Conditions, Security Policy. Then you have to tick the Agree option, then you will see the Pay Now button on the right side. Click on it. After clicking you have to click on Pay Through BillDesk option.

     You will be asked for payment options. Options are Credit Card, Debit Card, ATM, Internet Banking, Wallet/Cash Card, QR Code or UPI.

You can pay the penalty through any one of these options.

 Click on QR Code option. Click on Make Payment button. This option is only available when you pay with BillDesk.

QR Code will appear, click on it. He will grow up and appear before you. Now you have to scan your UPI application QR Code and make the payment.

Once the payment is completed, the payment successful screen will appear. Click on that green line. After clicking on the green line you will see the payment receipt. You should download that receipt. Thus you have paid e-challan or penalty.

     Now go to the website again and check the status by entering the Vehicle No. and Challan No. You will now see the payment as Paid in Payment Status. In this way you can pay e-challan or fine online.
