The Women's T20 World Cup has been played since 2009 and since then the tournament has been played eight times. Of these, Australia alone has won the title six times. The first Women's T20 World Cup was won by England in 2009 and the fifth by West Indies in 2016. The Australian team has previously been champions in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2020. The Australian team has won the hat-trick of women's T20 World Cup for the second time. For the first time, a team has achieved a hat-trick of titles for the second time in an ICC tournament, including men's or women's cricket. Overall, this is the 13th ICC title won by the Australian women's team. Previously, the Australian women's team has won the ODI World Cup seven times (1978, 1982, 1988, 1997, 2005, 2013, 2022). Australia's Ashley Gardner was named Player of the Tournament, while Beth Mooney was awarded the Man of the Match.
Australia defeated South Africa by 19 runs in the final match of the Women's T20 World Cup to win the title for the sixth time. This was the seventh T20 World Cup final for the Australian women's team and their sixth time winning the trophy. Australia scored 156 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs after winning the toss and batting first in the match played at Newlands in Cape Town.
Beth Mooney scored an unbeaten 74 off 53 balls. In reply, the South African team managed to score 137 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. El Volward scored 61 off 48 balls. As soon as she was dismissed in the 17th over, South Africa's hopes ended.
Australia started well. Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney put on a 36-run partnership for the first wicket. Healy scored 18 runs off 20 balls. It consists of three quadrants. After this, Ashley Gardner shared a partnership of 46 runs with Mooney for the second wicket.

In the last over, Shabneem Ismail dismissed Ellis Perry on the fourth ball and Wareham on the fifth ball. She had a chance for a hat-trick, but Tahil McGrath took a single off the last ball. Thus Shabanim's hat-trick was missed. Beth Mooney scored an unbeaten 74 off 53 balls with the help of nine fours and a six. Marijana Kapp and Shabaneem Ismail took two wickets each for South Africa. Meanwhile, Malaba and Tryon got one wicket each.
Chasing the target of 157 runs, the South African team got off to a poor start. Tajmin Brits were dismissed for 10 runs off 17 balls. After this, Marijana Cap tried to manage the innings with El Volward. Both made a partnership of 29 runs. However, Cap lost her wicket in the process of increasing the run rate. She was dismissed for 11 runs off 11 balls. Captain Soon Luce was run out. She scored two runs. Losing 3 wickets for 54 runs, the South African team is in trouble.
Wollward then teamed up with Chloe Tryon to give South Africa hope. Both shared a partnership of 55 runs for the fourth wicket. However, Wolvaard got Megan Schutt lbw in an attempt to increase the run rate. She managed to score 61 runs in 48 balls. After this, the African team continued to lose wickets.
Anke Bosch one run, Tryon out for 25 runs off 23 balls. In the end, Nadine de Klerk remained unbeaten with eight runs and Sinalo Jafta scored nine runs. For Australia, Schutt, Ashley Gardner, Darcy Brown and Jess Jonassen took one wicket each.
