Veteran actor Sameer Khakkar, who portrayed the character of 'Khopadi' in the popular TV serial 'Nukkad', passed away on Wednesday. He was 71 years old. His death has spread mourning in the entertainment industry. Khakkar acted in many films and serials during his career, but he was best known for his role as 'Khopadi' in the TV series 'Nukkad'.
Sameer Khakkar was working in the field of acting for 38 years. According to Ganesh Khakkar, he was having trouble breathing on Tuesday. After that, he fell unconscious. A doctor was called immediately. The doctor asked him to be admitted to the ICU. After this, he started having trouble urinating. His last days were spent in unconsciousness. He was put on a ventilator due to difficulty urinating, but later his heart stopped. He breathed his last as many organs in his body failed.
He started his career with the movie 'Javab Hum Degen' in 1987. Apart from this, he has entertained the audience with his excellent performance in many films like Pushpak, Mera Shikar, Shahenshah, Guru, Nafrat Ki Aandhi, Parinda, Pushpak, Raja Babu, Return of Jewel Thief, Jai Ho.
Apart from the 'Nukkad' series, he did justice to his characters in the serials Manoranjan, Circus, Naya Nukkad, Sriman Srimti, Bandini, Adalat, and Sanjeevani.
Sameer Khakkar has entertained the audience with his characters in many films. After some time, he left the film industry and went to America. However, after returning from America, he re-entered the industry and appeared in TV serials like Adalat and Sanjeevani apart from films. Apart from this, he was also seen in Zee5's web series 'Sunflower'. In 2020, he played the role of a politician in Nawazuddin's film 'Serious Man' and won a lot of praise. He finally acted in Prime Video's 'Farzi' this year.
