The 'Mauli's Dr. Sucheta Dhamane Honored by State Commission for Women; Mauli Seva Pratishthan's honor on the occasion of International Women's Day!

   On the occasion of International Women's Day, on behalf of the State Women's Commission, Senior Leader Sharadchandra Pawar, honored Dr.Sucheta Dhamane the founder of Mauli Seva Pratishthan (Ahmednagar), at Balgandharva Rangmandir in Mumbai.

Commission President Rupali Chakankar, senior social activist Medha Patkar, Commission member Utkarsha Rupate, and former MLA Deepika Chavan were present on this occasion.

Mauli Seva Pratishthan's Mangaon and Y. S. Sane Indradhanu projects, street homeless, destitute, mentally ill, and seriously ill women are treated and cared for throughout their lives. This is the only pilot project in the state to put these women on their own feet by taking care of this type of life.

At present, 470 women and their 39 children born here are living here permanently and the recovered women are self-sufficient through agriculture, cattle rearing, unemployment, and handicrafts. The Mauli Institute has made its debut in its 25th year this year and the work of Mauli's psychology, neuroscience, and heart disease treatment and research institute and the 300-bed hospital has been started.
