 Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Giants by 55 runs in the 12th match of the Women's Premier League. Batting first after losing the toss, Mumbai scored 162 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Gujarat Giants managed to score only 107 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

This was the fifth win in a row for Mumbai Indians. With 10 points, the team became the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Apart from this, the Mumbai team has become the first team to defend less than 200 runs in this tournament so far.

Batting first after losing the toss, Mumbai scored 162 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored a brilliant knock of 51 runs off 30 balls. Yastika Bhatia scored 44 runs. Mumbai did not start well.

Opener Hayley Matthews was dismissed by Ashleigh Gardner on the fourth ball of the first over of the innings. She could not even open an account. Nat Sewer Brunt and Yastika Bhatia then shared a partnership of 74 runs for the second wicket. Nat Seaver Brunt was dismissed for 36 off 31 balls with the help of five fours and a six.
