Renowned literary who is a source of knowledge for Marathi readers A comprehensive interview of Dr. Veena Dev has been conducted by Storytel Marathi's Prasad Mirasdar and Think Bank's Vinayak Pachalag, especially for interested readers. In this special interview, Decades of history have been awakened by speaking to Dr. Dev.
Dr. Veena Vijay Dev is a famous writer Go.Ni.Dandekar's daughter. He worked as the Head of the Marathi Department at Shahu Mandir College, Pune. He did teaching work there for 32 years. He was awarded Ph.D. Got this degree. He has handled various types of literature like writing, compilation, and editing, and many of his books in this context are famous.
In an interview, she said, "I used to go with Appa to writers like we go to eat with people. Sanjeevani Marathe, Mahadev Shastri Joshi, Padma Gole, and The HonGonida had a very close relationship with Mirasdar, and through him, I realized how simple this congregation was despite being literate. Thanks to Appa, I was introduced to various arts and literature, which became my life."
It goes on to say that a few years ago a daily started an 'innovative initiative' for literature by publishing a list of 100 books that we should read. Such activities should be done today. There is so much to read today, that I don't know what to read. Going to the library, choosing from what they put in front of you, not even knowing who the author is, taking something from it, choosing and reading it, is a kind of reading as literature. So anyone who wants to study well should take advice, even from your school teacher or college professor. And some of the books he mentioned are must-reads. So you will understand what Marathi is and how rich it is.
I have done 9 books for Storytel. And now I get phone calls after listening to it, from which I understand that those who are tired of reading. They should listen, it has more impact. After independence, English was preferred and dominant, so books in Marathi and regional languages were neglected and not taught. So our language has no affinity. If Marathi becomes the language of knowledge, it will get a new lease on life.
